Return of Project X

This is a little off topic but it looks like Bobby (aka Chemo) has decided to resume development of his Project X shopping cart system. Hopefully within a couple months we will see a first release as I don't think I can stand to develop another OSC-based site.

  • Great.

Chemo has already let down a number of people (including his so-called "foundry team" and "application development team").

He basically got thrown off of osCommerce, then started his own project, which he abandoned to try to get back onto osCommerce. Seems like they said "no", or more likely never gave an answer, so he has restarted his project.

Chemo's entire business method absolutely sucks.

To stab his own team in the back trying to get back into osCommerce's good books, frankly, sucks.

  • Yeah he does seem to flip-flop a lot and although I'm not privvy to the intricacies of his relationship with the osc team I will always welcome an open-source cart that's not based on osc.

From the tone of your comment I assume that you were on his "foundry" team?

  • No, I was never on the foundry team - this was the team which supplied the cash for Chemo to actually start developing the code (as far as I recall).
